L&T Globe Valve

A Globe valve is traditionally used to control the flow of product through a pipeline. This control is achieved through a conical plug and fixed orifice. The conical plug varies the size of the fixed orifice and either reduces or allows more flow. There are a variety of plug and orifice configurations that influence flow rates as required.

A gate valve is generally used to completely shut off fluid flow or, in the fully open position, provide full flow in a pipeline. Thus it is used either in the fully closed or fully open positions. L&T Swing Check Valve

A check valve is basically a one-way swing-type valve and bolted-cover construction, in which the flow can run freely one way, but if the flow turns, the valve will close to protect the piping, other valves, pumps etc. If the flow turns and no check valve is installed, water hammer can occur. They conform to BS 1868 and also meet the general requirements of API 600, including shell wall thickness.
