General Engineering Purposes Round Tube is hot-rolled, welded, mild steel in a circular shape with a hollow centre. They are typically stocked in 6 metre lengths and are available in a large variety of diameter and wall thickness options, making it a very versatile product. This tube is easy to drill, cut or weld and can also be galvanised to prevent corrosion. All tubing is produced in accordance with SANS 657-1. Galvanised round tubing is typically used for outdoor application, especially in coastal regions, as it has strong corrosion resistance properties.
