Macsteel has a range of band saws that can straight cut to a tolerance of up to ±1mm. Typically full bundles are cut. This is a highly efficient cost effective process which allows for the supply of non-standard sizes and allows the customer to avoid the cost of both excess scrap generation as well as reducing the amount of processing required after standard lengths of tube are supplied for further cutting. The bigger the volume the more cost effective this process is.
