Equal Angles

Equal angles are typically made from roll-formed, mild steel and are formed by bending a piece of steel into an angle so that it forms an “L”-shape, with a 90°, perpendicular angle. The legs of an equal angle’s “L” are equal in size. Equal angles are also known as angle irons, or L-brackets. Angles are mostly used as reinforcement, especially on surface edges, to help surfaces hold their shape, which helps to curb damage or weather erosion to structures. Angles also offer support where structures would otherwise not be strong enough to handle the weight placed on them.
