      Macsteel trading has a team of experienced and dedicated sales staff who delight to answering and responding to calls urgently, should your required internal personnel be unavailable an option to leave a message or be assisted by another sales person will be given.

    • How can I trust the quality of steel I receive from Macsteel?

      Macsteel has built a name that is synonymous with quality over the years and we pride ourself in doing due diligence on all our preferred suppliers. Macsteel purchase their steel from companies that comply with the quality requirements of the required grade and SABS.

    • Does Macsteel offer cut to length material?

      Macsteel trading has two production operations & a services centre.
      Production Operations
      – Coil processing offer services such as cut to length on plates and sheets, slitting & blanking.
      – Macsteel City offer services such as rolling tubes to specific customer lengths, rolling lip channels to size and punching of holes and roof sheeting to rolled to size (IBR, Corrugated, flashings & Novotexi).
      Service Centre
      Our service centre is an extension of our clients facilities, we offer cut to length on structural steel, mitre cutting, drilling, cropping and punching & manufacturing of Cellular beams, T-sections and Castellated beams.

    • Does Macsteel Trading import steel?

      Yes. Macsteel has a commitment to support local mills wherever possible but there are certain products which are not available locally thus have to be procured internationally.

    • What is the lead time for delivery?

      The lead time is depended on stock availability and the client’s location. The delivery date is dependent on the client’s geographic location which has a direct influence on the route plan. The delivery dates will be communicated to the client by our sales team. Every effort is made to get goods to the customer as soon as possible, this is always dependent on volume per delivery route. On many of our fixed delivery routes we have a predetermined schedule when we deliver. There is flexibility to this schedule.
