Cold Rolled Round Tube is predominantly used in the automotive, shopfitting, furniture and exhaust sectors. This tubing is available as commercial quality steel, as well as graded steel (Grades SAE 1008 and SAE 1010). All tubing is produced in accordance with SANS 657-1. Special features of Cold Rolled Round Tube include that it can be cut to size by band saw or via laser cutting.
Structural Applications Round Tube are hot-rolled, welded and graded (Grade S355MH) steel tubing, available in a large range of diameters and wall thickness combinations. Structural Applications Round Tube are typically stocked in 6 metre lengths, wall thickness starting from 3mm to 6mm. Structural round tubes are easy to cut, drill or weld and can be painted or galvanised to assist in corrosion resistance. All tubing is produced in accordance with SANS 657-1.
Product application for round tubing typically includes structural purposes such as roof trusses, trailers, towers, tow bars, columns, agriculture equipment, bridges or mine props.
General Engineering Purposes Round Tube is hot-rolled, welded, mild steel in a circular shape with a hollow centre. They are typically stocked in 6 metre lengths and are available in a large variety of diameter and wall thickness options, making it a very versatile product. This tube is easy to drill, cut or weld and can also be galvanised to prevent corrosion. All tubing is produced in accordance with SANS 657-1. Galvanised round tubing is typically used for outdoor application, especially in coastal regions, as it has strong corrosion resistance properties. Product applications of General Engineering Purposes Round Tube include gates, fencing, security doors, electric fencing, carports/shade ports, general engineering purposes, furniture or exhaust pipes.
