
1050 is the most common standard aluminium grade. It has good mechanical properties and like all aluminium is less than a third of the mass of steel. Alloy 1050 offers good corrosion resistance and is readily fabricated. Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.

5083 Is a non-heat treatable aluminium with excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability and fair formability. It is very resistant to sea and industrial atmospheric corrosion and is recommended for low temperature applications.

3003 is a standard aluminium grade. It has improved mechanical properties over 1050. It is readily fabricated and and like all aluminium is less than a third of the mass of steel and offers improved corrosion resistance. Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.

6082 is a heat-treatable higher strengh aluminium which anodizes well. It has good fabrication charactaristics and is widely used in stressed structural applications such as bridges, transport applications etc.
