A Grade 11 Sandringham learner put it simply: "It feels cleaner, more serious. Like this is actually a place for learning now."

Teachers report a shift in atmosphere. They have noted a palpable sense of pride where students are less likely to litter or deface a building that looks this good! Learners see the investment in their space, and it reflects back on them.

The success at Jeppe High School for Boys, which sparked this pilot project, proved the model. Now, with Sandringham and Sandown High Schools showing early, visible progress, the message is spreading along the very roads the upgraded schools border.

The partnership between Macsteel and EduSafe demonstrates that corporate social investment, when strategically focused, does more than repair infrastructure. It lays the foundation for a better learning environment.
